Inca is Ivory’s smaller sister and has just completed a very educational week on the Scottish summer circuit 2015.  The “I” litter are by Int FTCh Ballyellen Cody x Gortinreagh Gold.

Inca steady on point

Inca returned to Scotland for Summer Trials a lot more mature and ready for action.  She won her first Puppy Stake at Glenlivet for the Scottish Gundog Association and followed this up by also winning at the Northern Counties Puppy Stake at Cawdor.

Inca was worked only lightly during the Spring and Summer of 2017 but by the Autumn, her adult strength was developing and she was acquiring the experience to handle most situations.  On a particularly wet and blustery day at the beginning of October she ran in the Ulster Gundog League Open Stake on the Brunt at Glenwherry, handling a large covey of birds with style and taking little notice of the terrible weather.  It was only her in-form kennel mate FTCh Gortinreagh Faith who pipped her at the post taking the win and putting her in the runner-up spot.

However she got her revenge the following week – on an equally blustery day, with even more torrential rain, she ignored the storm to chalk up her first Open Stake win, on that most testing of Irish venues – the challenging hill that is Slieveanorra.
