Clancy was the product of a mating between my FTCh Princess Nisha and Carol Calvert’s immensely hard-running dog FTCh Glynlark Playfair. Both parents were wide-ranging, fast and superb game-finders and I was hopeful that the pups might have similar qualities. I was not disappointed. Clancy (called after her grand-father Bronco’s pet name) was an early developer, running well and taking birds cleanly from the beginning. She achieved her FTCh win at Glenwherry Moor under judges Michael Houston and Stephen Clarke on a day when her speed was blistering and she capped it all with a spectacular find in the second round which secured her win.
In 2011 she received the Ladies Trophy for the most stylish dog at the British Champion Stake, having had some spectacular running in that minefield that is Bollihope Moor and 2 fantastic finds at top speed.
