In 2018, the Gortinreagh-Ballyellen English Setters made up FTCh Ballyellen Tango and qualified 3 new dogs to run in Open Stakes, with Gortinreagh Kimiko winning the Northern Counties Pointer and Setter Society’s Novice Stake on 3o July, Ballyellen Diva winning the Pointer Club of Scotland’s Novice Stake on 1 August and Gortinreagh Joker winning the North of Scotland Gundog Association’s Novice Stake on 3 August.

Doug Collins scored his first Open Stake win with Gortinreagh Jemma at the Pointer Club of Scotland’s Dorback trial on 2nd August, with Jemma just pipping her brother Gortinreagh Jack Duggan into 2nd place – a very pleasing result for the 2 year old siblings.
